How to Apply for Membership with LIAC
To join the Lubbock Inter-Agency Adoption Council, please send a letter on your agency letterhead requesting to become a member. Please include the following information.
Membership Type:

Child placing agencies providing adoption services in Lubbock County
☐ Individual Member
Individual professional staff of a CPA providing adoption services in Lubbock County
☐ Supportive Member
Other individual or organization wanting to support LIAC and its efforts
☐ Honorary Member
Appropriate Representation
Please include the name or names of appropriate representation from your agency that you would like to attend monthly LIAC meetings. (Meetings are in-person in Lubbock.)
CPA License
To apply as an Individual Member representing an agency that does not yet have Agency Membership, please include a copy of your Child Placing Agency license/permit.
Dues
Dues are not required, but all agencies in the Lubbock Inter-Agency Adoption Council are asked to make an annual donation.
Submit Your Request
Please submit your request and supporting documentation to the current Secretary listed in the provided Organizational Chart.
For Agency and Individual membership requests, please send your request on your agency’s letterhead.
For Supportive Membership, agency letterhead is not required.
Next Steps
Once you’ve submitted your application to join LIAC, members will vote on your acceptance or denial at the next monthly meeting, unless there are fewer than ten (10) days prior to the next meeting at the time your application is submitted, in which case it will be added to the following month’s meeting.
If membership is denied, you may appeal the decision by submitting, in writing, a request for an opportunity to address the Council. Your letter of appeal may be sent to the current President listed in the provided Organizational Chart.
